ABOUT DR KAMAL
Dr Kamal is a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience specialising in working with individuals and couples experiencing difficulties in their intimate relationships. He understands the impact that anxiety, stress, depression, post-traumatic stress, anger problems and drug &/or alcohol addictions can have on relationships.
Dr Kamal also has significant experience working in the field of child abuse and neglect as well as family dysfunction. He is highly skilled in assisting his clients free themselves from negative childhood experiences in their families of origin, so that they can experience joyful and fulfilling relationships with their intimate partners and other significant people in their lives.
He graduated with an Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of Queensland and obtained his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Griffith University on the Gold Coast, Australia. Dr Kamal is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), and is registered to practice as a Clinical Psychologist with the national Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). He also regularly volunteers his time as a Professional Mentor to new psychology graduates under the Griffith University Industry Mentoring Scheme. In addition to this Dr Kamal sits on the Board of BUSY At Work a not-for-profit organisation set up to assist young people and adults move into meaningful employment, and has previously served on the Board of an organisation focused on helping disadvantaged youth.
